Book Review: THE BOOK THIEF

“The consequence of this is that I'm always finding humans at their best and worst. I see their ugly and their beauty, and I wonder how the same thing can be both. (Death)”
Markus Zusak, The Book Thief

Hello, it's me again. So today, I am going to review the Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I inserted a quote that I loved from the book. I loved it because it's true. Y'all know it's true. Anyways, stay tuned for my next review or blog post because I have a lot to share with y'all that are related to books. I'm excited for the next blog post. I may review the Selection series by Kiera Cass. I just started reading it and I'm loving it so far so stay tuned for that. Anyways, let's get started.

For those of you who haven't read the Book Thief, it's about a girl named Liesel Meminger. By her brother's graveside, Liesel finds her life changed when she picks up a certain object that was hidden under the snow. It was a book, left there by accident. This was the start of her "career" in book thievery. From then on, she goes on "missions", as I like to call it, with the help of accordion-playing foster father and her mischievous best friend. Soon she starts stealing from Nazi book burning, the mayor's wife's library, wherever books can be found. Then comes a dangerous time when her foster family hides a Jewish man in their basement. Liesel's world is both opened up and closed doors.

I gave this book a solid 5/5 because I loved it and it made me cry. Books that make me cry are the best books for me. This may be my new favorite book ever. What made this book interesting is that it was narrated by Death itself. Although this was a fiction novel, the words I read felt real. Most of the scenarios are real. I felt like Death was real and he was there physically that time. It was so beautiful. I loved it so much.

I definitely think all of you should read this. It's such a beautiful and life-changing book. I can't explain further how beautiful this book is and always will be. I also watched the movie and cried while watching it. I am so emotional.

I will inserting pictures of the book down below and I think that is it for today. Thank you for reading and I do hope you will be reading more of my blog posts. I now have over 500 views on my blog. That is crazy. The power of sharing, peeps. It doesn't really bother me how many followers I have as long as you enjoy it and it makes you happy reading it. Thank you for the 500+ viewers. That is incredible. Thank you so much.

That's it for today and I will see you later. Bye. x
